Quantel’s new Quattro software adds improvements for Newsbox HD and Enterprise sQ systems and forms an integral part of the company’s new Joe and Ed television editing workstations.
For television production, Quattro’s Multilayer Timeline enables fast effects processing when multiple versions must be produced in a short time. It can work with SD and HD material simultaneously or on parallel layers without creating and rendering new format copies, supporting faster time-to-air, greater output and higher quality. The open AAF format enables data exchange with Final Cut Pro systems.
Quattro also supports Dino, Quantel’s networked workflow software for distributed news and sports production, allowing access to a shared workflow across a wide-area network.
