The C44plus provides seamless integration of digital party lines into matrix intercom systems and can also serve as a stand-alone matrix for smaller applications. The new version adds a front-panel USB port for configuring the internal 24×24 matrix with the Performer Audio Assignment Software.
The software provides a simple way to change the unit’s eight pre-programmed configurations. These saved configurations can then be selected using DIP switches on the front panel. It expands the C44plus from a pure system interface into a compact stand-alone intercom solution with a digital 24×24 matrix, four two-channel digital party-line connections, eight digital AES inputs and outputs, eight analogue four-wire inputs and outputs, and GPIs.
The C44plus can link wired and wireless communication systems, including through a RiFace radio interface. It operates Performer Digital Partyline components such as the C3 two-channel beltpack, C31 split box and rack, desk and wall stations. Up to 16 beltpacks can be connected in a daisy chain to each party-line output, and one C44plus can supply power to up to 38 beltpacks. Digital connection to Artist or Performer 32 matrix systems is supported, with analogue four-wire connections and GPIs enabling integration with other manufacturers’ intercom systems. Riedel also offers an upgrade for C44 units delivered before April 2008.
