According to preliminary figures, the CANCOM Group achieved revenue of €79.1 million in the first quarter of 2008, compared with €69.1 million in the previous year, an increase of 14.5 percent. Organic growth was 5.8 percent.
Gross profit rose from €20.8 million to €24.2 million. EBITDA increased from €2.0 million to €2.1 million, while EBIT remained unchanged at €1.6 million. Net income was €0.9 million, compared with €1.1 million in the previous year; earnings per share were €0.09 after €0.10.
While BITKOM expected the German IT market to grow by 1.6 percent, CANCOM’s management board expected a further improvement in the company’s business performance.
