SANYO is setting new standards for flexibly installable projectors. With the PLC-XT21, the company offers a device distinguished above all by easy maintenance, versatile applications, and a barely perceptible operating noise level of 31 dB. It adds another highlight to SANYO’s Business and Education range.

Whether permanently installed on the ceiling or standing on a table, the PLC-XT21 features a well-considered design that allows users to operate and maintain the projector in just a few steps. Its bayonet mount allows the standard lens to be replaced immediately with any of four optional lenses. Thanks to the motorized vertical and horizontal lens-shift function combined with vertical keystone correction of +/- 40 degrees, users can achieve the desired image size from any projection distance. The PLC-XT21 can therefore be used very flexibly in a wide variety of rooms.

If the PLC-XT21 lamp needs to be replaced, the task is straightforward because it is located at the rear of the device. Filter cleaning can also be completed in moments: users have direct access to the filter system from the top of the unit, making it very easy to clean. A built-in warning light indicates when replacement is necessary. The One Way Air Flow system protects the projector from overheating, making it ideally equipped for continuous operation.

The symmetrical design of the PLC-XT21 offers a clear advantage when positioning and setting up the device. Users can install the projector not only horizontally, but also vertically or at an angle, making projection onto ceilings or floors possible. The projector is particularly quiet: at only 31 dB in Eco mode, it is barely perceptible.

High brightness of 4,000 ANSI lumens and the native standard XGA resolution of 1,024 x 768 pixels, scalable up to U-XGA resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels, guarantee highly detailed projection of charts, graphics, and text.

A contrast ratio of 1,000:1 also contributes to this performance. The PLC-XT21 has various professional inputs, including DVI-D and 5xBNC connections, allowing it to be connected quickly to additional data sources.

The PLC-XT21 can also be controlled and maintained over a network. When equipped with the optional PJ Net Organizer Plus II C network adapter, users can send the data to be displayed to the projector, while the system administrator can monitor the projector’s operating status.

The PLC-XT21 will be available from specialist retailers from June 2008 for €2,860 (recommended retail price excluding VAT).

With a three-year projector warranty and a free replacement service in Germany and Switzerland that provides a substitute unit within 24 hours for the duration of a repair, SANYO offers buyers maximum reliability.
