Daily journeys through the urban jungle repeatedly involve periods of waiting. Minutes pass slowly and unused, and boredom sets in. To fill these involuntary pauses, the ViiF mobile-entertainment platform offers a range of videos for mobile phones, now including the successful ProSieben knowledge programme Galileo. The magazine’s informative and entertaining features are presented as short mobile clips, framed by segments with presenters Aiman Abdallah and Daniel Aminati.
Manfred Neumann, Head of Mobile TV at SevenSenses GmbH, said: “Since November last year, ViiF users have been able to watch ProSieben and Sat.1 programmes on their mobile phones at any time, including the news formats Sam and Sat.1-das Magazin, comedy formats and the weather report. We are now expanding our offering on the platform to include knowledge content, making it available to our viewers on mobile phones at any time. The ViiF mobile-video community provides a particularly user-friendly way to do this.”
ViiF is designed for simple and intuitive operation. No additional software needs to be installed on the mobile phone and no internet connection is required, which also reduces costs. On a UMTS phone, the user simply dials the short code 22557 and selects Video Call. The ViiF main menu appears, with programme categories intended to provide fast navigation even for less technically experienced users.
