The German Association for the Digital Economy (BVDW) has welcomed another member to its Academy of the Digital Economy. Deutsche Medienakademie GmbH expands the BVDW Academy’s educational programme with professional-development measures focused on qualifying executives in communications and media. The BVDW Academy’s programme now comprises more than 50 different qualification offerings designed to address the acute shortage of skilled professionals.
With the help of a network of around 1,500 trainers, speakers, lecturers and coaches, Deutsche Medienakademie provides distinctive expertise as a center of excellence. Its objective is to help companies become more competitive and better prepared for the future.
Four new seminars covering rhetoric, reputation management, voice and speech training, and time management substantially broaden the Academy of the Digital Economy’s offering, which includes more than 50 programmes across the core areas of the digital value chain.
The BVDW had predicted today’s acute shortage of skilled staff several years earlier. Working with its Education and Training specialist group, it therefore founded the Academy of the Digital Economy on December 12, 2007. Initial concrete measures were introduced in spring 2008 to help resolve the current dilemma:
Affected companies and education providers worked together under the BVDW’s leadership to establish an Academy of the Digital Economy, with the aim of providing targeted educational offerings that could help the industry quickly and effectively in this situation.
Participants in the educational programmes receive meaningful certificates bearing both the education provider’s name and the designation of the BVDW Academy of the Digital Economy. Further information about the programmes offered by Deutsche Medienakademie GmbH and the other education providers is available at http://akademie.bvdw.org. BVDW members receive special terms.
