Whether summer or winter, snow or rain, dust or dirt, SANYO’s new LCD monitors are unfazed. The 52LH1R and 52LH1WP are two robust monitors that easily withstand external influences. The 52LH1R is protected against oil, dust and smoke, while the 52LH1WP is additionally weatherproof and water-resistant. With their 52-inch screen diagonal, they also provide an excellent picture even from a greater distance.
Thanks to Full HD resolution, both displays show films, images and presentations in razor-sharp quality. A special feature is a media compartment on the rear of the units, allowing sources such as laptops to be integrated easily into the device.
The anodized aluminium used for the housing is particularly durable, protecting the units from corrosion, dirt and scratches. The 52LH1WP operates reliably even at extreme temperatures, delivering an ideal picture from -20 to +45 degrees Celsius. Water and other liquids run off the monitor without causing damage. Its front panel is additionally protected against vandalism by reinforced special glass. Their solid construction makes the monitors suitable for exposed locations: the 52LH1R is aimed primarily at industrial and hospitality applications, while the 52LH1WP is intended especially for outdoor use, such as ski resorts, sporting events and amusement parks.

The media compartment on the rear of the 52LH1R and 52LH1WP provides enough space to house playback devices such as a laptop or DVD player unobtrusively and efficiently. It is particularly suitable for continuous operation because, like the rest of the units, it is protected against external influences. Both monitors are designed specifically for 24/7 use. In digital signage applications, for example, the wide viewing angle provides a good image even from an acute angle of up to 176 degrees. The anti-glare glass minimizes glare and reflections.
Numerous connections make it easier to supply content. DVI, component, BNC, RS232 and video inputs and outputs, plus an external speaker output, provide flexible connectivity. A response time of just 6.5 milliseconds ensures flicker-free playback. The optional PJ Net Organizer Plus makes the monitors easy to integrate into a network, allowing them to be supplied with data and controlled through a web browser.
The 52LH1R will be available from specialist retailers at the end of June for €6,650, and the 52LH1WP for €10,000 (recommended retail prices excluding VAT).
SANYO provides a three-year warranty for the monitors and, in Germany and Switzerland, a free replacement service that supplies a substitute unit within 24 hours for the duration of the repair.
