Indiana Jones Has the Games Charts in His Grip

“Indiana Jones IV” achieved the most successful film opening of 2008 to date. The hero is also succeeding in the related video game. “Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures” enters media control’s games charts on seven platforms—twice at number one.

“Indy” takes gold in both the PSP ranking and the PS2 charts. On PSP, he pushes “GTA: Liberty City Stories” down to third place. “UEFA Euro 2008” holds second place between them. In the PS2 chart, “Pro Evolution Soccer 2008” (2) and “Singstar Summer Party” (3) trail the newcomer.

On PlayStation 3, it reaches sixth place. “GTA 4” and “Race Driver Grid” lead the chart ahead of newcomer “Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit.”

On Xbox 360, “Lego Indiana Jones” debuts in fourth place. One position ahead, “Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit” makes its debut. “Grand Theft Auto IV” and “Race Driver Grid” defend first and second place.

In the ranking for Nintendo platforms, the game from LucasArts places fifth on Wii and eighth on NDS. “Mario Kart Wii” and “Wii Fit” swap their positions from the previous week on Wii. “Sports Island” is new in third place. On the handheld, “Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games” finishes ahead of “Mario Kart” and “Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training.”

“Lego Indiana Jones” also made a good start in the full-price PC segment, taking fourth place. Only newcomer “Mass Effect” and established titles “Age of Conan” and “Race Driver Grid” performed better.
