Spectacularly directed by Mathieu Kassovitz (THE CRIMSON RIVERS, GOTHIKA) and featuring an exciting international ensemble cast led by action star Vin Diesel (PITCH BLACK, xXx) in a multifaceted role as a fighter and unexpectedly sensitive hero, Asian martial-arts icon Michelle Yeoh (MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA, CROUCHING TIGER, HIDDEN DRAGON), French cinema legend Gérard Depardieu, and discovery Mélanie Thierry (THE LEGEND OF 1900) as the mysterious Aurora.
Earth has survived a third world war. Population explosion, pollution and Mafia brutality are worse than ever. Toorop (Vin Diesel) is one of many adventurers paid to kill or carry out other dangerous assignments. His chances of survival diminish by the day as the number of his enemies grows.
The offer from Mafia boss Gorsky (Gérard Depardieu) comes at just the right time. Toorop is to smuggle a young girl from the Russian wilderness to America. His reward: one million dollars and the opportunity to start a new life in the United States. Toorop quickly realises that the “delivery,” the girl Aurora (Mélanie Thierry), has special abilities. She can foresee the future. Her companion is the resolute nun Rebecca (Michelle Yeoh), who wants to protect Aurora’s life. But various gangs are pursuing Aurora. Toorop’s assignment is considerably riskier than he expected. He will lose his life—and win it back…
