Mandy Lane (AMBER HEARD)—she is young, sexy, beautiful and unattainable. All her classmates have failed in their attempts to win her over. Many of them would die to be with her—but only one would kill for it.
Jonathan Levine’s debut film, released by Senator under the Autobahn label, is much more than just a teen slasher: its cool direction and a soundtrack with earworm potential give the film the feel of a late-summer feel-good commercial, while it also offers a talented, sexy cast and a sophisticated story.
At least the press was already very impressed by yet another teen horror film adaptation:
“Oh Mandy! TV Movie loves you and the cleverly constructed story too!” (TV Movie)
“Cool music, super-stylish images and a touch of retro. Amber Heard is simply brilliant—more of this woman, please!” (Jolie)
“Top marks at dying! An old-school teen thriller! (…) In a few shots, Amber Heard looks like a very young Scarlett Johansson (…)” (TV Spielfilm)
“Young, sexy, divine: Mandy turns every boy’s head on a trip to the countryside (…). This devilishly well-made bloodbath with its lively soundtrack really gets under your skin!” (TV 14)
Alongside the film’s theatrical release, Senator Music is releasing the soundtrack CD featuring the title song, “All Good Dreamers Pass This Way” by Bedroom Walls.
Amber Heard will return to the big screen in the autumn with the Bret Easton Ellis adaptation THE INFORMERS, a Marco Weber production for Senator Entertainment Inc.
