Adobe Creative Suite was now available in version 3.3 in the Design Premium, Design Standard, Web Premium, and Master Collection editions. Creative Suite 3.3 included the new Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro and combined the power, reach, and richness of the Adobe PDF and Adobe Flash file formats. This resulted in numerous improvements to print-production workflows. Adobe Fireworks CS3 was also added to Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 Design Premium, specifically for designers who needed to create website and web-application prototypes quickly.
With Acrobat 9 Pro, creative professionals could combine various documents, video and audio content, and other file formats in a PDF Portfolio. It could be distributed easily and equipped with customizable interactive navigation. New native support for the Adobe Flash format also allowed video and audio content, as well as applications created with Adobe Flash, to be integrated into PDF files and played back seamlessly, enabling richer and more engaging experiences.

Improved Workflows for Print Professionals
The enhanced overprint preview enabled print professionals to see exact intersections between overlapping objects on screen. Overprint preview switched on automatically when it detected overlapping areas in PDF/X files, or when the user configured overprinting to be displayed in every PDF. Print professionals could also reliably convert RGB and CMYK to black or into different color spaces.
“With intelligent overprint preview, precise conversion of RGB and CMYK to black, enhanced preflight functions and automatic corrections, and PDF standards checking, Adobe Creative Suite 3.3 and Acrobat 9 Pro help us significantly improve existing production workflows,” said James Wamser, senior training specialist at Sells Printing Company LLC, a US full-service printing provider. “With this product release, Adobe is extending its leadership and offering technologies and tools that address some of the creative industry’s most pressing challenges.”

Acrobat 9 Pro also enabled designers to collaborate on documents more effectively and efficiently. Design professionals using Acrobat 9 could literally get on the same page with clients and work together on PDF documents in real time through Acrobat.com, a new offering of centrally hosted services then available as a public beta.
Adobe Fireworks CS3 included an extensive library of professional templates for rapidly building websites, enabled simple creation of web graphics, and offered seamless integration with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Dreamweaver, and Adobe Flash.
