Turkey and Germany share a special relationship that extends far beyond media-staged events such as the international football match between the two countries’ national teams. The intercultural exchange that has taken place and been lived in both countries and between their peoples for decades now also has a special place on the Internet. Together with leading media entrepreneurs, Ibrahim Evsan, founder and managing director of sevenload, is launching the “Living Together in Europe” initiative to strengthen the sense of unity between the two countries.

The initiative aims to strengthen coexistence among German and Turkish fellow citizens, improve the integration of young people with a migrant background, highlight the friendly relations between the two countries at social, political, and economic levels, and jointly promote competition between them in a European market environment.

Through the “Living Together in Europe” initiative, sevenload will soon enable all Internet users to express their own views on multicultural and inclusive coexistence. sevenload itself is setting a good example: founder Ibrahim Evsan has assembled a team of 53 employees from eight nations.

“Regional and local competition is all too often pushed into the background in an increasingly global market environment,” Ibrahim Evsan explained of the initiative’s background. “With ‘Living Together in Europe,’ entrepreneurs from Turkey and Germany are speaking out in favor of a shared future in a growing, united Europe.”

Entrepreneurs such as publisher Dr. Hubert Burda support the initiative: “Whether victory or defeat, the match offers a great opportunity to show that integration is on the right track.”

For prominent figures in the media industries of both countries, the sporting contest is above all a shared game for Europe. The “Living Together in Europe” initiative is supported by Dr. Marcel Reichart (Hubert Burda Media), Helmut Markwort (Focus), Lars Hinrichs (XING), Mikdat Karaalioglu (Sabah), Mehmet Gürcan Daimagüler (Yale University), Patricia Riekel (Burda People Group), and actress Karoline Herfurth.
