Kindermann Receives Comenius Award for Its Multimedia Lectern

Since 1995, the GPI has presented the Comenius EduMedia Awards for outstanding ICT-based educational media from all educational sectors, fields of application and subject areas. The awards honor outstanding multimedia products from across Europe. The international expert jury includes media specialists from nine European countries.

Multimedia has also found its way into classrooms: new media in the form of educational software and Internet programs support learning and make complex topics easier to understand. However, assembling the components needed for a short school lesson is neither simple nor quick.

Kindermann therefore developed a Multimedia Lectern that accommodates all presentation technology—from projector and computer to audio, video and Internet connectivity—in a single piece of furniture and can be made ready for use in just a few steps. It takes barely 60 seconds from unlocking the classroom to displaying an image on the wall.

“We are delighted to have won the Comenius EduMedia Seal. This award shows us that we are keeping pace with the times and that our concept works: with the Multimedia Lectern, which we developed in close cooperation with educators, we make everyday school life easier and enable teachers to concentrate on what matters,” said Norbert Dorn, Marketing Director at Kindermann GmbH.
