Quark announced today that it will stage a worldwide tour to present the recently announced QuarkXPress 8 in 58 cities. Participants in Asia, Australia, Europe, Latin America, New Zealand and the United States will have an opportunity to discover the enhanced design capabilities of QuarkXPress 8.
A new intuitive user interface developed for creating high-quality page layouts, authoring tools for print, web and Flash, design-oriented typography features, and the ability to publish worldwide in multiple languages using a single file format make QuarkXPress 8 a powerful design application that gives creativity wings. It opens up new artistic freedom for designers, who can reach results more quickly and efficiently through easy access to the tools they need. The new intuitive interface enables faster work with fewer clicks.

The QuarkXPress 8 Xperience Design Global Tour gives participants an opportunity to become familiar with the new, modern and intuitive QuarkXPress 8 interface and learn how to realize creative ideas directly for print, web and Flash. They will also learn how the new QuarkXPress 8 tools enable faster and more efficient work, including native Illustrator file import, enhanced image-editing, drawing and text tools, optical margin alignment, and individually configurable design grids.
“We received fantastic feedback from customers and the press about QuarkXPress 8 at Drupa in Düsseldorf. We want to share this enthusiasm with other users worldwide. They too should have an opportunity to discover the new and modern QuarkXPress and benefit from its enhanced design features,” says Terry Welty, Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing at Quark. “A tour like this also offers participants a unique opportunity to meet other designers, creative professionals, industry experts and the local Quark team in person. It was clear from the outset that this would be a worldwide tour, because QuarkXPress 8 is Quark’s first version to launch simultaneously around the world and enable worldwide publishing in different languages.”
Creative professionals on the QuarkXPress 8 Xperience Design Global Tour will be able to experience QuarkXPress 8 on Mac OS X Leopard, described as the world’s most advanced operating system. On-site experts will demonstrate powerful QuarkXPress 8 features available only on the Mac, including Image Layout Sharing with Aperture and iPhoto and integration with the revolutionary Automator technology in Mac OS X Leopard.
