US network FOX will adapt Dori Media’s internationally successful telenovela “Lalola” and have multiple Emmy Award winner Kevin Falls write it for the American market. Falls will also serve as executive producer on the series.
The Dori Media Group, one of the world’s most successful producers, distributors and broadcasters of telenovelas, has sold the body-swap series “Lalola” to 52 countries—including France, Italy, Russia, Mexico and Chile—just one year after its successful launch in Argentina. In Argentina, “Lalola” has just received 16 nominations for this year’s Martin Fierro Awards, comparable to the German Television Awards. Nadav Palti, CEO and president of the Dori Media Group, said: “We are delighted that ‘Lalola’ is bringing another successful Dori Media production to the United States. I see this once again as evidence of the quality and international competitiveness of our Dori Media telenovelas.”
