With the DUP-08/1000 CD/DVD duplication tower, Primera Technology is launching a device for high-volume optical-media duplication. It enables companies to burn data from a master disc to as many as 1,000 CDs or DVDs in a single operation. This is made possible by four disc spindles, each holding 250 optical media, and eight burner drives. “This gives a business requiring a large quantity of media entirely new possibilities,” says Andreas Hoffmann, managing director of Primera Technology. “Duplication can now, for example, be carried out overnight and does not even need to be supervised because the workflow is fully automated.” The DUP-08/1000 is built to industrial quality and can therefore also be used under extreme operating conditions.
The system operates completely autonomously and does not need to be connected to a PC. It features an integrated hard drive with a capacity of 250 GB, while a larger HDD can be supplied on request. Multi-Master Recognition Technology (MMRT) has been improved, allowing different master discs to be loaded successively for multiple burning jobs. The master data can also be transferred to the internal hard drive during the first copying process. Primera Technology has additionally optimized the handling of media that stick together. “Detect Sticky Mode” immediately stops production as soon as two or more optical discs are detected in one drive. If a disc has not been inserted into the drive correctly, the tray opens and closes automatically. The DUP-08/1000 is very easy to control directly on the device through a display, in English, Spanish or French. Users can select different burning speeds, while a counter shows the number of completed copies. The duplication system is available now for EUR 3,998 plus VAT. The DUP-08/1000 is also available with Blu-ray drives on request, with pricing available directly from Primera Technology.
