The latest member of Emtec’s Movie Cube family introduces new features. In addition to recording and time-shift functions for capturing television programmes, the Movie Cube R700 multimedia hard drive now also offers an HDMI interface. This enables audio and video signals to be transferred between different devices entirely digitally and at the highest quality.
The R700 is also Wi-Fi compatible. Emtec’s Wi200 USB Wi-Fi dongle enables wireless data transfer between a PC and the Movie Cube. The 802.11g standard ensures fast transfer of films, photos and music. This makes the R700 an ideal repository for all multimedia files and the perfect partner in a media network.
The USB host provides independence from a computer. It is no longer necessary to connect an MP3 player or camera to a computer first in order to access the multimedia files stored on it.
The Movie Cube R700 is an ideal companion on the move. Its low weight and compact design make it easy to take to friends or family. Films and pictures from holidays or the latest family celebration, as well as favourite television series, can be enjoyed on any TV without technical effort—simply connect the SCART cable to the television. As a particularly notable feature, the Movie Cube R700 can record television programmes. Its time-shift function allows users to pause a programme at any time and then resume watching.
The Movie Cube R700 now provides even more space for recording television and storing audio, video and image data. Four versions are available with capacities of 250 GB, 500 GB, 750 GB and 1 TB. The 1 TB multimedia hard drive can, for example, hold as many as 1,300 films with an average size of 700 MB.
The Movie Cube R700 supports all common audio, video and photo formats.
