The monotube tripod legs are made of carbon fiber—100 percent pure, without additives, for extreme strength—while the high-strength die-cast parts are magnesium. These modern materials reduce weight while providing solid, durable performance across the advanced tripod range. The leg-angle adjustment has also been redesigned, offering three positions.
Both video tripods are made from premium materials and feature bowls for compatible tripod heads with half-balls, while optional adapters provide additional mounting options. Retractable spikes and quick-release leg locks are also standard features of these elegantly designed, highly practical video tripods.
Versatility Versus Weight
Both models in the completely redesigned MPRO product group immediately impress with their modern, functional design, straightforward operation and robust construction. The Manfrotto 536 gives professional videographers a four-section tripod with three extensions. Despite a transport length of only 70cm, it reaches a maximum working height of more than two meters. With the legs spread to their widest angle, videographers can shoot from a working height of 26cm.
Thanks to its lightweight, premium materials, the tripod weighs only 3.4kg but supports loads up to 25kg. The MPRO 536 comes with a 100mm bowl that can be reduced to 75mm using the included adapter, accepting tripod heads with either 75mm or 100mm half-balls quickly and securely. The 500BALL (100mm) and 520BALL (75mm) half-ball adapters are available for flat-base tripod heads.

Using the same materials and components, the Manfrotto 535 offers performance similar to its sister model. Its three-section design with two extensions reduces both weight and cost. Weighing 2.3kg, the tripod supports a maximum load of 20kg and has a transport length of 73.5cm. Its maximum and minimum working heights are 171cm and 27cm. The MPRO 535’s 75mm bowl securely accepts heads with a 75mm half-ball, while the optional 520BALL adapter also accommodates flat-base tripod heads.
Both models in the new MPRO generation of video tripods are available now. The MPRO 535 costs €488.50 plus VAT, while the MPRO 536 costs €643.50 plus VAT. Bogen Imaging also offers both models as complete kits including a tripod head. Of particular interest among the five MPRO 536 kits is the Manfrotto 519, 536K combination—working height 41–216cm, maximum load 10kg, head with continuously variable fluid drag and 1–9kg counterbalance—for €1,517 plus VAT.
Among the three MPRO 535 kits, the Manfrotto 503HDV, 535K combination—working height 38.5–174.5cm, maximum load 8kg, head with continuously variable fluid drag and four-stage counterbalance from 0 to 3.9kg—is a notable offer at €916.50 plus VAT. Both kits are supplied with a 75mm bowl.
