As with the larger products in the Samplitude range, the smaller version is also intended to guarantee high sonic neutrality. The new Samplitude Music Studio 15 is distinguished above all by simpler recording workflows. New tools such as the MR-64 multitrack recorder and MIDI step recording contribute to this. The manager section, optimized for straightforward editing and now also able to import MAGIX Soundpools, adds further convenience. The new BeatBox 2 Plus1 virtual instrument supplies the right groove for every track, including numerous acoustic drum sounds. MAGIX Samplitude Music Studio 15 is designed for audio recording, editing and mastering on a PC.
From Multitrack Recording to a Virtual Studio
The new, intuitive MR-64 multitrack recorder not only looks like an analog recorder, it also works like one. It combines familiar analog operation with all the advantages of a PC system. During recording, bands can now adjust the MR-64 controls directly in the rehearsal room until the sound is perfect.
Improved Manager Section
The manager section appears in a new design in Samplitude Music Studio 15. It brings together frequently used control and management functions for markers, tracks, ranges, VST instruments and objects. The Soundpool Manager also accesses sound samples from MAGIX Soundpool DVD Collections—currently version 15—or MAGIX Music Maker. Samplitude Music Studio 15 already includes several hundred rock sounds. Like the peak meters, the manager section can be moved freely and docked at various points in the user interface. Of particular interest to electronic musicians is the new BeatBox 2 Plus1, a flexible tool for creating drum lines and powerful grooves. Together with the included Vita and Revolta 2 synthesizers, or any VST plug-in, it can be used to create complete productions without physical instruments. Recording real instruments and voices is, of course, also possible.
MIDI Step Recording — Step by Step Through Complex Performances
The new “Step Recording” mode offers a genuine convenience for sound creators who want to play particularly complex passages on a MIDI keyboard. It allows passages to be recorded one step at a time. After each note is played, recording pauses and waits for the next note to be entered. As with any MIDI object, every individual note in elements recorded this way can subsequently be edited.
