MFG Baden-Württemberg plans to establish a platform for recruiting emerging talent in the digital economy in Stuttgart at the end of November. The first DMMK Young Professionals congress will take place at Stuttgart Media University, with support from the German Association for the Digital Economy. The event specifically addresses emerging talent, graduates, career entrants and people seeking to change from other industries, with the aim of inspiring them to join the digital economy. Participation is free for students and young professionals aged 29 or under.
The event expands the German Multimedia Congress, held since 1992, which seeks to bring the digital economy, media and marketing together under one roof and encourage innovation in interactive media. To advance this development without losing contact with emerging talent and the people who will generate tomorrow’s ideas, the German Multimedia Congress is now being expanded with the DMMK Young Professionals recruitment platform. In future, it is intended to bring emerging talent together with employers and clients annually.
For the premiere on 29 November, the organisers have secured Sascha Lobo of Zentrale Intelligenz Agentur and author of “Wir nennen es Arbeit”, and Tribal DDB CEO Peter Figge as keynote speakers. “We want to offer young talent in the interactive creative economy a platform that serves as a high-quality networking forum and brings them together with potential employers,” said MFG Baden-Württemberg Managing Director Klaus Haasis, describing the event’s ambition.
The principal aim of DMMK Young Professionals is to bring students, graduates and career entrants together with companies in the digital economy. Practical projects and the requirements of a wide range of job profiles will be communicated. According to the organisers, companies can present themselves as innovative, attractive employers and establish qualified contacts with future high-potential candidates. Educational institutions will also present their offerings in this context. Young people can therefore test their educational priorities and career goals against reality. Interested participants also gain a unique opportunity to discuss appropriate qualifications and career steps with companies and educational institutions.
Ahead of DMMK Young Professionals, a competition will invite young people to showcase their potential as young professionals. They can submit their own projects, ideas and concepts, or present themselves through a digital application portfolio or video. The best entries will receive awards at the congress. Instead of cash prizes, the awards include stays abroad, educational opportunities and paid internships.
