The center is intended to address the challenges of multichannel publishing, train employees in Quark solutions including Quark Dynamic Publishing Solution, and advance the implementation of customer projects in this sector.
Today, companies must plan their marketing communications requirements proactively. This means considering in advance their communications needs for multiple markets across different channels. The pressing question is how existing manual publishing processes distributed across different departments can be improved, and how communications can be professionally assembled and distributed across channels and national borders without diluting brand identity or jeopardizing the existing publishing infrastructure.
Dynamic publishing provides a comprehensive global solution to all these questions and can be applied across every area.
The newly established center will therefore bring together T-Systems employees from a wide range of disciplines: developers, consultants, project managers, and functional analysts. The goal is to better understand customer requirements and create Quark solutions tailored to T-Systems France customers in markets such as industry, aerospace, automotive manufacturing, banking, and insurance.
“Our customers face growing dynamic-publishing requirements. As a provider of IT and telecommunications solutions, it was an obvious choice for us to consider Quark solutions for our French customers. Our main task is to integrate structured ERP, PLM, and CRM data in order to create a global, interactive communications platform for multiple channels,” explains Hervé Sortais, Director of Systems Integration at T-Systems France.
“T-Systems’ creation of a center of expertise for Quark dynamic-publishing solutions is an important development for our enterprise strategy. We believe that by training dynamic-publishing experts, we will be able to find innovative solutions to all the issues faced by the vertical markets in which we operate,” adds Gildas Duval, Commercial Director at Quark Southern Europe.
The creation of the new center demonstrates that Quark’s expertise aligns with T-Systems’ desire to expand its activities for large enterprise customers.
Stéphane Dayras, Technical Director at Quark Europe, adds: “Quark’s dynamic-publishing solutions must interface with complex enterprise IT systems (ERP, CRM, BPM, PLM, EMM, ECM, and others) so that publications can be delivered through multiple channels. Thanks to the integration expertise of T-Systems engineers, we have already been able to consider major projects for joint customers.
Quark DPS technologies comply with open-source standards (Apache, Tomcat, and others) and open-market standards (SOA, web services, XML, and others), enabling T-Systems engineers to use this software package and integrate it into their service offering.”
