Intel Friday Night Game

On 22 August 2008, Europe’s largest computer games league gave the starting signal at the Games Convention trade fair in Leipzig for the thirteenth season of the eSport Bundesliga, the ESL Pro Series. With 165,000 euros, it is Germany’s most richly endowed league for professional computer gaming. Now the Bundesliga for computer games comes to the Tonhalle in Munich on 12 September with the Intel Friday Night Game. During the evening-long show, two teams each in the discipline FIFA 2008, two teams in Counter-Strike 1.6 and two in Counter-Strike: Source compete live in front of an audience. Valuable points for the German championship in electronic sport and 165,000 euros in prize money are at stake.
