Lightworks provides real-time mixed-format editing with native support for AVI, MXF and QuickTime, simplifying workflow integration in the world of open file transfer. It supports HDV, XDCAM and P2, as well as interchange of OMF, AAF and DPX sequences.
Based on the proven multi-seat version, projects can also be implemented across networks. More and larger volumes can be used, and storage capacities above 100 TB can be integrated into workflows without difficulty.
Integration with tapeless systems via Geevs video servers is equally straightforward.
The optional HD Codec Pack enables editing of RED RAW files and Final Cut Pro ProRes 422 files.
Lightworks version 1.3 is expected to become available shortly after IBC 2008.
