Adobe and Intel Enable a Virtual Visit to photokina

Adobe and Intel are jointly offering a virtual tour of photokina, the photography trade fair that continues at the Cologne exhibition grounds until tomorrow.

At http://www.workflowonthego.de, the two companies are making information about the trade fair’s new products — including the new Adobe Creative Suite 4 — available to people who cannot travel to Cologne.

Several reporters are out on the exhibition grounds every day to capture impressions and report on new technologies. Alongside interviews with various exhibitors, the programme includes conversations with experts from Adobe and Intel about Creative Suite 4 and the new generation of Intel processors. Equipped with Sony photo and video cameras, the reporters post their impressions online immediately, giving visitors to the website a comprehensive overview of events at the fair.

Better Creative Suite 4 Performance Through New Intel Technologies

As a result of cooperation between Adobe and Intel during the development of Creative Suite 4, users benefit from numerous improvements, including faster application response times even during complex processes. By using the latest Intel platforms, including multicore architecture and SSE4 instructions in Intel Core 2 Quad and the announced Intel Core i7 processor, data-intensive operations are completed significantly faster. Adobe is one of the first adopters of the new SSE4 instructions and is using them to improve the performance of Creative Suite 4 applications.
