Wii Music arrives in November, a melodic delight for all music fans. With more than 60 instruments to choose from, Wii players can enjoy making music together with family and friends. In Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City, players become residents of an idyllic village, give free rein to their imagination, shape their surroundings and make friends with their animal neighbours. Thanks to Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, players can visit the villages of other Animal Crossing fans. Animal Crossing: Let’s Go to the City also uses the new Wii Speak microphone to enable voice chats with players around the world for the first time.

Wario fans should also get ready, because the Wii debut of Mario’s devious rival delivers classic platforming fun. In the epic 2D adventure Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, players must hoard treasure and defeat villains—with a generous dash of black humour, naturally. Players who prefer even more action may find Disaster: Day of Crisis the right game. A breakneck day filled with uncontrollable natural forces and other unpredictable events lies ahead. This survival adventure puts players’ skills to a severe test.

The flood of new releases also reaches Nintendo DS. The brand-new puzzle adventure Professor Layton and the Curious Village puts players’ grey matter to work. Pokémon fans also have something new, with numerous challenges awaiting willing Rangers in Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia. And for music fans, Korg DS-10, a versatile pocket-sized synthesizer, arrives in October.
