Adobe and Macromedia Academy of Media Announce Industry Conference

The second German Photoshop Convention will take place in Munich from 6 to 7 November 2008.

The Photoshop Convention is entering its second year. The conference for professional Photoshop users is organised by Macromedia and cooperation partner Adobe Systems. The programme is aimed at experienced graphic artists, digital photographers, designers, and prepress and electronic-image-processing staff working in agencies or specialist departments. Held in Munich from 6 to 7 November, the event provides a special forum offering visitors a combination of knowledge transfer, professional exchange and intensive industry networking.

Munich—Organisers have secured prominent names including Doc Baumann, Uli Staiger, Thomas Bredenfeld, Julieanne Kost and Bert Monroy for this year’s Photoshop Convention in Munich. Under the central theme of advertising, Photoshop professionals can create an individual programme from more than 40 presentations running across four parallel tracks. Optional hands-on workshops are available after the conference.

“We see ourselves as an event for the Photoshop community,” said event director Thorsten Blach. “That is why, beyond the presentations and workshops, there will also be ample room for conversations and professional exchange.”

A trade exhibition accompanies the programme. The event is also planned to include a round table entitled “Lies, Fakes and Beautiful Images” and a get-together on the first evening for all visitors, speakers and exhibitors.

Conference tickets begin at €499 excluding VAT and include all presentations, catering and the supporting programme. Special student rates are available from the organiser on request. The venue is Munich’s historic Alte Kongresshalle.
