“For EA, it is enormously exciting to bring the world’s most famous board game to interactive life on a wide variety of gaming platforms,” said Chip Lange, General Manager and Vice President of EA Casual Entertainment.

The Monopoly World video game has a fresh look and makes the gaming experience accessible to players of all ages, regardless of skill level. The multiplayer capabilities of the digital versions allow up to four aspiring property tycoons to play together. Alongside the classic Monopoly experience, players can expect a whole range of new features developed by EA for the game. These include the ability to unlock several completely new game boards, each with its own theme, such as bread and cheese, ice and snow, or delicious desserts. Another addition in the digital version is faster game modes such as Richest Mode, in which players can complete an entire MONOPOLY game in 30 minutes or less. Twelve mini-games designed to keep players engaged and entertained throughout the game add further fun.

Monopoly World was released on October 23 for PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, mobile phones and Pogo.de. Further information is available at http://www.pogo.de and http://www.electronic-arts.de.
