From October to December this year, database specialist FileMaker is once again offering customers, interested users and developers the opportunity to take part in 14 free web seminars. The seminars are presented live by company specialists and developers and are designed to be interactive. Participants can therefore discuss questions in detail and in real time with the experts and other attendees, as well as exchange their own experiences. They receive practical information and work through important subject areas together, with individual needs and differing levels of prior knowledge taken into account.
The seminars are aimed at both beginners and experienced FileMaker users. They provide practical and theoretical information about databases, individual operating steps, database features, and the optimisation of FileMaker databases and servers. Bento, FileMaker’s personal database, which is as easy to use as a Mac, is also covered in detail in the introductory courses and in the “Bento 50 Uses” course.
The new generation of Bento—with the look and feel of iTunes—remains as easy to use as ever while adding numerous new features. Among other improvements, Bento 2 now works more like a spreadsheet; data can be imported directly from iWork Numbers and Microsoft Excel and written back again. Integration with Apple Mail is now also possible. The new Bento lets Mac users handle all their personal administration and organisational tasks quickly and competently. The second generation of the popular Mac database has been available since 14 October.
