The collaboration between Akamai and German company TVNEXT, which specialises in developing and implementing IPTV solutions, provides customers with core technologies and comprehensive, forward-looking IPTV developments. By using Akamai to deliver IPTV applications, companies can provide end users with a smooth audiovisual online experience free from stuttering, instability and download interruptions. Among other applications, the complete solution enables seamless integration of video on demand into web portals, the creation of a 24/7 internet channel, and live broadcasting. Special features include community functions, the ability to upload user-generated content, and in-stream advertising playback.
