Kabel Deutschland helps film fans save money: beginning November 10, Germany’s largest cable-network operator is offering blockbusters through its Select Kino pay-per-view service from just one cent per viewing. The introductory credit will also soon remain valid for 60 days.

Anyone who likes movies will love SELECT KINO. Kabel Deutschland’s service offers blockbusters on demand in an amazingly simple way. With a digital cable connection, a receiver and an activated smart card, viewers can enjoy top entertainment comfortably from their living-room chairs.

Viewers can order their chosen film for specific start times simply by telephone, internet or SMS—with no subscription commitment. At the selected time, the film appears directly on the television at home. Payment is made per viewing. Film fans can look forward to cinematic treats from as little as one cent. A newly selected range of films is available every week.

What is showing on SELECT KINO? The latest information about the current program is always available online at http://www.kabeldeutschland.de/selectkino, in TV Digital, or on the specially created SELECT KINO information channel. Particularly during the darker months of the year, Select Kino saves film fans a trip to the video store. Within 60 days, viewers can order highlights from the major Hollywood studios conveniently from home.

Germany’s largest cable-network operator supplies around nine million connected television households across 13 federal states. Its cable networks are already fully digitized. KDG can therefore already offer every connected household access to pay-per-view and near-video-on-demand services. In addition to 32 analog television channels, every customer can also access around 100 digital free-to-air television channels in excellent sound and picture quality.
