sevenload expanded its international sales team effective December 1, 2008. Ströer Interactive served as the advertising sales partner for the German-language offering of the social media network.

“By combining an external sales partner with our own sales team, advertisers receive comprehensive, individualized support for sevenload. Our team is focusing on marketing the social media network internationally. sevenload is already online with eight country portals, and in 2009 our expanded sales team will offer the complete range of our portfolio for all of them,” explained sevenload CEO Axel Schmiegelow.

“For the coming year, we are specifically focusing on expanding the technology. Displaying HD video on the internet, developing social targeting and branded entertainment for advertising clients are the most important milestones for the first half of the year alone,” added Andreas Heyden, COO of sevenload.

After many years at Nokia and the successful establishment and sale of his own company, Mika Nilsson, 34, had served since October 2008 as head of international business development, responsible for sevenload’s operational sales activities in Russia, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Rainer Mackowiack, 43, previously active in sevenload’s project management, took over national sales management, coordination of marketing partners, planning and implementation of cross-media campaigns, and international key accounts focused on Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Nilüfer Turgut, 26, formerly part of the Ströer Group’s key account management team, had served since October 2008 as sales manager responsible for supporting and advising national and international advertisers and selling sevenload’s customized media solutions for the Turkish market.

Andrew Schlömer, 32, had been responsible since November 2008 for selling sevenload’s enterprise solutions as sales manager. His principal areas of responsibility were the direct and indirect marketing of white-label solutions and branded entertainment.
