Award-winning computer games “Made in Bavaria”: At the German Developer Awards 2008, a Munich-based game developer was honored for the first time. The jury presented its sponsorship award for innovative start-ups to Chimera Entertainment, which had been nominated with its debut title “Windchaser.”

Managing director Hendrik Lesser saw his team’s success as pointing the way forward for game development in Bavaria: “With Chimera Entertainment, we have proven that start-ups emerging directly from universities can also be successful. Above all, we want our studio to offer talented young people from the region prospects and create a foundation for a growing game-development scene in Munich.”

Chimera Entertainment had already received the LARA Start Up Award from the Bavarian State Ministry in 2007 as an innovative game developer. At the time, the team was working on various projects for PC and console.
