Through the merger with VCC TV-Features, Optical Art is adding eight editing suites and seven qualified workstations to its capabilities. Jenny Cazelles, who has been with the company since 2003, will continue to manage the editing division after its integration into Optical Art. Optical Art founders Christian Burgdorff and Harald Lehmann remain Managing Directors.
“We can now offer our customers a more comprehensive service in television and feature films,” said Christian Burgdorff. “Everything from editing to the finished TV or cinema production can now be completed under one roof.”
The Hamburg-based high-tech specialists in digital film post-production significantly expanded their market share in the cinema and feature-film segment. In 2008, Optical Art was involved in 25 television and feature-film projects. The expanded business area is intended particularly to address television and cinema productions.
