The comedy Dinosaurier (Constantin Film Produktion) by Leander Haußmann is a remake of the successful film Lina Braake: the main character is a retired teacher who has been defrauded by her bank and tries to prevent it from building a shopping center on her street. Oscar Roehler addresses a historical case: in Jud Süss – Sympathie für den Teufel (Clasart Film- und Fernsehproduktion), he tells the tragic story of actor Ferdinand Marian, who played Jud Süss in the Nazi-era propaganda film of the same name.
A total of €195,000 is allocated to three television-film projects: in the TV movie Der große Stromausfall (Constantin Television/Sat.1), Sebastian Vigg shows what happens when Berlin suffers a power outage. In the documentary Der SCHEIN trügt (DENKmal-Film/BR/SWR), Claus Striegel explores what people do with money and what money does to people. In Moskau – Alle meine Lieben – 15 Jahre danach (BAUM-Film/BR/WDR/MDR), Christoph Boekel tells how the dreams and hopes of Moscow residents have changed over the past 15 years.
With €50,000 in FFF project-development funding, planning can begin for Grisu, der kleine Drache (Wasabi Film): Hendrik Feil is bringing the popular 1970s cartoon character to the screen as an animated figure in a live-action film.
FFF Bayern is funding four screenplays with a total of €110,000: a story about a Yeti that runs away and ends up with a twelve-year-old girl (Yoko, Gerrit Hermans, Ludger Jochmann alias Knister); a drama about the impossibility of love between a man and a woman (Agnes, Johannes Schmid, Nora Lämmermann); a comedy about three women who earn money through phone sex in a morally strict village (Eine ganz heiße Nummer, Andrea Sixt); and a drama told in retrospect about a difficult mother-daughter relationship (Die Liebe ist ein Fluss in Preußen, Gerlinde Wolf).
A total of €810,000 in distribution funding is allocated to nine projects, including 1 1/2 Ritter – Auf der Suche nach der herzzereißenden Herzelinde, Effi, Die Perlmutterfarbe, John Rabe and Hexe Lilli.
