Sony’s Professional Show at the beginning of the year is an institution. The successful concept is now being extended across the entire professional lineup for the first time. In February, Sony Professional World 2009 will offer a versatile 360-degree view of Sony solutions in presentation technology, digital signage, and media and broadcast. Sony is emphasizing its capabilities as a solutions provider, with unparalleled expertise across imaging technologies and an integrated approach to a wide variety of professional applications. In Cologne, Berlin and Munich, the focus will be on an extensive product show, forward-looking application scenarios and opportunities for individual project consultation with the Sony Professional Solutions team. High-profile external speakers are expected for specialist presentations and will be announced shortly.
Sony Professional World 2009 will present four representative solution environments demonstrating what networked, image-based systems can already achieve in various professional contexts. The retail and point-of-sale environment combines public displays, video surveillance and photo kiosks into a versatile digital-signage concept that supports advertising, cross-selling, customer retention and decentralized employee training. Another focus is a multimedia conference room with a 3D videoconferencing system for telepresence and the current portfolio of business projectors. In broadcast and digital cinematography, attention centers on IT-based workflows and high-quality HD production. One presentation will feature a television studio and film set with high-end television and cinema cameras in a simulated studio environment; another will demonstrate networked HD live production with external partners, MVS vision mixers and the TRIMASTER monitor lineup.
