The framework licensing agreement covers national and international in-house productions and co-productions by Constantin Film AG and its majority-owned companies whose filming begins between January 1 and December 31, 2009, and for which Constantin holds exploitation rights. In addition to highlights from the existing agreement such as the box-office success THE WAVE, URMEL FULL SPEED AHEAD, CHEEKY GIRLS, and PEARL COLOR, the future agreement includes free-to-air television rights to films including the second installment of CHEEKY GIRLS, JERRY COTTON, and BUSHIDO.

CEO Fred Kogel said: “We are delighted to continue our close and highly successful collaboration with ProSiebenSat.1 by extending the framework agreement. The agreement once again guarantees our films premium exploitation in their first free-to-air television broadcast. This step also strengthens our strategic alliance with one of the leading players in the German media landscape.”

Guillaume de Posch, CEO of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG, said: “We are pleased to continue our very good and close collaboration with Constantin Film. By extending the output agreement, we are securing the rights to outstanding films for the future and will continue to offer our viewers the best entertainment.”
