At Integrated Systems Europe, the most important European trade fair for professional audio-video solutions and electronic systems integration, SANYO Fisher Sales (Europe) is presenting a range of new projectors for professional users and its current line-up of monitors for digital signage use.

With a stand area of around 450 square metres, SANYO’s presence in Hall 10, Stand 128 is among the largest at the trade fair, which takes place from 3 to 5 February 2008 in

Amsterdam. Under the motto “Full HD for Professional Use”, the company is showing the new PDG-DHT100L digital signage flagship for the first time anywhere in the world. The PLC-XTC50 with its automatic lamp-changing system and the portable PLC-XU355 with WLAN functionality for business use are making their European debuts. In the monitor segment, SANYO is concentrating this year on digital signage devices for indoor and outdoor use.

SANYO is unveiling the PDG-DHT100L for the first time at ISE, where several units feature in a 22-metre-wide panoramic projection on the stand as a highlight of the presentation. The projector achieves a brightness of 6,500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 7,500 : 1. Thanks to Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), it excels both in the detailed, colour-accurate display of images and films and in demanding applications in design or CAD. Digital signage applications under difficult lighting conditions are also among this device’s preferred scenarios. The ability to transmit Full HD content over WLAN without delay, together with numerous optical adjustment options, rounds out its wide range of uses.

With the PLC-XTC50, SANYO is showing a specialist for fixed installation or continuous operation. The bright projector achieves 5,000 ANSI lumens and delivers razor-sharp projections with XGA resolution. It is the first projector to feature the automatic lamp-changing system (ALSS), which doubles projection duration to 6,000 hours compared with comparable devices. Thanks to an additional automatic replacement system, the air filter also only needs to be replaced manually after 10,000 operating hours. The

PLC-XTC50 thus considerably extends maintenance intervals, significantly reducing operating and maintenance costs.

PLC-XU355: Portable Network Projector for Business and Education

Business travellers or teaching staff are ready for immediate use with the new PLC-XU355. The compact device weighs well under three kilograms and, with a brightness of 3,500 ANSI lumens and XGA resolution (1,024 x 768 pixels), delivers a perfect image even under difficult lighting conditions – even without a completely darkened room. Thanks to its 1.6x zoom, the projector achieves a large image area even at short distances. “Easy Network Setup” makes it extremely easy to integrate the projector into a wireless network without prior knowledge, allowing data to be transferred from a PC to the projector.

Numerous other projectors in specific scenarios round out SANYO’s trade fair presence. The PLC-XL51 ultra-short-throw projector, which delivers impressively large images in XGA resolution even at extremely short distances from the projection surface, is presented in typical digital signage settings. The PLC-XP200L demonstrates the advantages of QuaDrive technology for realistic, colour-accurate reproduction. In addition to the

3LCD panel, the extremely bright projector with 7,000 ANSI lumens has an additional Color Control Device (CCD), ensuring optimised colour reproduction. In the ultra-portable projector segment, SANYO is showing the particularly light PLC-XW65, weighing just 1.6 kilograms. A separate Home Cinema area features the PLV-Z3000 Full HD projector, whose 1,200 ANSI lumens and contrast ratio of 65,000 : 1 make it perfectly suited to home cinema

requirements. The complete range of projectors is also exhibited as a passive display on SANYO’s stand.

In the monitor segment, SANYO highlights three devices for professional digital

signage use. Equipped with the new Sunlight Readable technology, the company is presenting the 52SR1 Full HD monitor and the 42SRE1 W-XGA monitor. While the 42-inch 42SRE1 monitor is intended for use in brightly lit indoor applications, the 52SR1 was developed specifically for outdoor use. Its housing is certified to protection class IP66, and a shatterproof front pane protects the device against vandalism. The 52-inch monitor can therefore be used in a temperature range from minus 20 to plus 45 degrees Celsius and

is particularly suitable for installations in public outdoor environments and industrial applications. Alongside these, SANYO is also showing the 42LM5WP, which likewise has IP66 certification and is intended for outdoor use.
