Alongside the eagerly anticipated release of Pro Tools 8 software, Digidesign is introducing two new Pro Tools LE system bundles: 003 Factory Complete and 003 Rack Factory Complete. Both combine a Digidesign 003 hardware interface with the Complete Production Toolkit—Digidesign’s powerful new Pro Tools LE expansion option featuring numerous plug-ins for music and post-production—and offer savings of almost €500 compared with purchasing the included components separately.
Released with Pro Tools 8 software last month, the Complete Production Toolkit greatly expands the performance and creative options of Pro Tools LE 8 on all systems, supporting surround mixing up to 7.1 and as many as 128 simultaneous audio tracks. The software bundle includes virtual instruments and professional Digidesign plug-ins valued at more than €2,500: the Eleven™ LE guitar-amp simulator, Digidesign’s innovative Structure® LE sample player, Hybrid 1.5 high-definition synthesizer, Smack! LE compressor, DINR™ LE noise-reduction plug-in, TL Space™ Native Edition convolution reverb, X-Form time-compression/expansion and pitch-shifting tool, and Neyrinck SoundCode Stereo surround-to-stereo downmixer.
The toolkit also expands Pro Tools LE workstations with professional studio tools, including a multitrack version of the well-known Beat Detective for rhythm analysis and correction, DigiBase Pro for file management, DigiTranslator 2.0 for importing and exporting OMF, AAF and MXF files, and much more.
The two new Pro Tools LE system bundles combine the Complete Production Toolkit with either a Digidesign 003 Factory or 003 Rack Factory system. 003 Factory is a mobile FireWire-based Pro Tools LE interface featuring numerous audio and MIDI connections and direct control of Pro Tools projects through its integrated hardware control surface. The 003 Rack Factory interface provides the same audio and MIDI connections as 003 Factory in a compact 2U rack unit.
003 Factory Complete and 003 Rack Factory Complete are aimed both at demanding home and project-studio owners seeking an especially powerful Pro Tools LE system and at professional audio engineers who need a second system for mobile use or a private studio. Both bundles are being presented at the current NAMM Show, booth 6606, in Anaheim, California, and will be available through Digidesign dealers from the first quarter of 2009 at recommended retail prices of €4,135 and €3,100 respectively.
