Black bars when watching television or using multimedia applications? Not with the LG W2261V. The 22-inch widescreen monitor looks to the future with an integrated 16:9 panel for outstanding image quality and Full HD resolution of
1920 x 1080 for uncompromising visual enjoyment. “With the W2261V, we are responding precisely to demand for multimedia devices with Full HD and the increasingly popular 16:9 widescreen format. This makes films, computer games, multimedia and office applications even more enjoyable,” said Nils Seib, Manager Public Relations at LG Electronics Germany. “The innovative monitor generation completes LG’s home-entertainment range and is another building block for today’s individual digital lifestyle.”

Whether displaying the latest Blu-ray films, videos or games, the image is rendered with maximum precision and quality. This is ensured by the W2261V’s fast 2 ms
high-performance TN panel, which guarantees sharp images in action scenes as well as sports broadcasts. The new LG device prioritizes not only smear-free playback but also brilliant color: deep blacks, bright whites and clear colors are
provided by the dynamic contrast ratio of 20,000:1.
For optimal connectivity, HDMI and DVI inputs are available—both with standard HDCP support—along with an analog 15-pin D-Sub
input.
Fun and Comfort at Work
To keep things enjoyable, the W2261V, like its predecessors, features special tools for creative image display, including Photo Effect, ezZooming and switching from 4:3
format to widescreen. Photo Effect provides four display modes—Natural, Gaussian Blur, Sepia and Monochrome—adding variety to video playback or slideshows.
The ezZooming feature can change the resolution of text or icons. The resulting enlarged display is useful not only for users with impaired vision. For greater working comfort, the screen also provides additional room for toolbars and full-size display of
two A4 pages.
The W2261V’s design matches its image performance: the glossy black frame with elegant curves fits into any setting. Its slim form saves desk space, while a wide 170° viewing angle and ergonomic tilt stand ensure comfortable
work and viewing from any position.
The new LG W2261V Full HD monitor is available from January 2009 for €199.
