Before the fun finally arrives in German cinemas on March 26, Kevin James fans can look forward to his visit to Germany: from March 20 to 23, the star comedian will promote his new film extensively in Berlin and Munich and will also appear on “Wetten, dass …?” on March 21.
Paul Blart (KEVIN JAMES) wants nothing more than to become a police officer in his New Jersey hometown, but the physical test at the police academy proves an insurmountable obstacle. To at least feel that he is contributing to public safety, the mild-mannered Paul reluctantly takes a job as a security guard at the local shopping mall, a role to which he devotes himself wholeheartedly.
When a group of thieves disguised as Santa Claus raids the mall one day, Paul sees his big chance to prove to everyone that a true hero really does lie within him. He tries to save the hostages—including his daughter and the woman of his dreams—as well as his reputation, and takes on the criminals. For the lead in this lovable yet offbeat comedy, director Steve Carr (“Are We Done Yet?”, “Daddy Day Care”) secured none other than “King of Queens” star and audience favourite Kevin James (“Hitch”, “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry”), who also co-wrote the screenplay.
Release date: March 26, 2009
