Turtle Entertainment Supports Munich Gaming

Turtle Entertainment will support Munich Gaming with speakers, an eSports tournament, game stations and a parent-focused LAN event.

Munich Gaming is a three-day event from April 1 to 3 covering gaming, education and entertainment. The first two days comprise an industry congress, followed by a public day devoted to electronic games. Visitors can try titles from the ESL Sports platform free of charge throughout the event. Turtle Entertainment managing director Jens Hilgers will join an April 2 panel on digital games as a cultural and economic factor in Europe, while press spokesman Ibrahim Mazari will join an April 3 discussion on the risks and potential of computer games.

Munich Gaming Challenge

Munich Gaming and ESL Sports will organize a professional eSports tournament for the first time. An online qualification phase will select the leading FIFA 09 players, who will compete for €2,000 at an offline final during Munich Gaming on April 3.

Parent LAN

A parent-focused LAN begins at 2:00 PM on April 1. Organized with Turtle Entertainment, spielbar.de, the Federal Agency for Civic Education, Spieleratgeber NRW from ComputerProjekt Köln and Cologne University of Applied Sciences’ Spielraum institute, the event will introduce interested parents and teachers to computer games and the media used by young people.
