Shortly after introducing HD video (as reported by DP), video portal Sevenload increased the maximum upload size to 1.5 gigabytes per video file. The company says this puts it far above the market standard.
“Technology has advanced rapidly in recent months. Countless devices capable of recording in HD quality are now flooding the consumer market. We are offering our users more storage capacity for their recordings so they can present their self-produced videos perfectly online,” explains Ibrahim Evsan, founder and CTO of Sevenload. Professional production companies in particular would benefit from the technology, which other market providers did not offer at this level of quality.
Sevenload sees HD video with razor-sharp image quality as “the trend topic” for viewers and producers of web TV formats. With the increase in upload volume, Sevenload says there is no longer any limit on the quality of the source material. There are no further restrictions, such as on video duration or the number of individual uploads. To be shown as HD video in the community at http://www.sevenload.com, footage must have a resolution of at least 720p.
