Rapid developments in camera technology and new codecs continually create new challenges for postproduction. Facilities that plan ahead and control their workflows can achieve substantial gains in quality and speed.
Open systems that allow smooth exchange of project data are important. Using footage shot on a RED camera, the roadshow will demonstrate the interaction between Apple Final Cut Pro and Quantel’s high-end Pablo postproduction system with the Neo panel. Original RED material can be rough-cut in Final Cut Pro and the complete project transferred to Pablo with one click. Alternatively, RED raw data at resolutions up to 4K can be ingested directly into Pablo with the Neo panel without transcoding and processed immediately.
The events will take place in Munich and Berlin from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with the same program repeated from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Participation is free and non-binding. A short introduction will be followed by the presentation, after which attendees can ask questions and explore the RED, Final Cut Pro and Pablo with Neo workflow hands-on.
