The iLive-T series is based on Allen & Heath’s successful iLive digital mixers and provides the same range of functions in a lightweight system at an attractive price.
The series consists of iDR-32 and iDR-48 MixRacks and iLive-T80 and iLive-T112 control surfaces using a CAT5 ACE Audio Control Ethernet connection. Either MixRack can be combined with either control surface, and all models are compatible with existing iLive mixers.
“The T series was developed using proven digital technology from our professional iLive range. It has a flexible audio architecture with configurable buses, patching, control and effects, while offering the same processing power, DSP algorithms and functions as iLive. We are delighted to deliver the same remarkable audio performance in a much smaller unit at a fraction of the price, opening digital technology to a new audience,” said Allen & Heath Managing Director Glenn Rogers.
Using the iLive 64×32 RackExtra DSP Mix Engine, both T-series MixRacks process up to 64 channels, 32 mixes and eight stereo effects processors. Dual-core DSP technology handles dynamics, EQ and delay for every signal, providing each of the 32 mixes with a 30-band graphic EQ and parametric EQ.
The compact 4RU iDR-32 provides 32 mic/line inputs and 16 outputs, while the 6RU iDR-48 offers 48 mic/line inputs and 24 outputs. The iLive-T80 and iLive-T112 surfaces add eight inputs/eight outputs and 16 inputs/12 outputs respectively. Combined systems therefore cover typical PA configurations from 40 inputs/24 outputs to 64 inputs/36 outputs.
Key to the T series is Allen & Heath’s patented ACE connection, providing cost-effective point-to-point control and audio between MixRack and surface over one CAT5 cable across long distances. An expansion slot supports alternatives such as EtherSound and future MADI and Aviom interfaces. Integrated network switches and MIDI ports at both ends allow remote control from laptops, touch controllers and MIDI devices. The T series supports Allen & Heath PL remote controllers and iLive Editor software for online or offline setup and control.
The control surfaces use the iLive fader-strip layout with four layers per bank and colour-assignable channel identifiers. A large processing section above provides instant access to key parameters with controls familiar from analogue consoles, helping new users enter digital mixing quickly. An integrated touchscreen adds a graphical overview and access to memories and system configuration. Settings can be transferred by USB.
