Universal Audio released the UAD 4K Channel Strip and UAD 4K Buss Compressor plug-ins for its UAD platform.
The UAD 4K Channel Strip models the SSL 4000 G+ circuitry, including the Type E Black Knob four-band equalizer. The UAD 4K Buss Compressor models the 4000 G+ bus compressor with a range from transparent to aggressive compression. The original 4000 G+ was widely used within the SSL console family.
The UAD 4K Channel Strip cost $249 and the UAD 4K Buss Compressor $199. Full versions for UAD-1 and UAD-2 were available through the Universal Audio online store. Both plug-ins were also offered as fully functional 14-day demos.
