The Axiom Pro Series builds on M-Audio’s USB MIDI keyboards and adds features for professional music production. The new 25-, 49-, and 61-key controllers are designed to provide a piano-like playing feel and detailed direct control.

M-Audio HyperControl technology automatically maps hardware controls to common software-instrument and DAW parameters, supporting integration with digital audio workstations including Pro Tools®, Cubase, Logic, and Reason. A continuous bidirectional connection between the DAW and keyboard synchronizes active software parameters, updating and displaying values on the LC display. This supports editing without unintended parameter jumps, even after a plug-in has been closed. Users can also switch directly between mixer and instrument control.

The Axiom Pro Series combines comprehensive MIDI control with ASCII commands, allowing QWERTY keyboard shortcuts assigned to selected hardware controls, including Cut, Paste, and Undo, to be sent directly to host software. Other features include the sem-weighted M-Audio TruTouch keyboard and eight velocity-sensitive trigger pads using M-Audio Trigger Finger technology for triggering loops and samples.

“The Axiom Pro Series gives our customers a completely new performance experience with unique flexibility, because complete sessions can now be controlled directly from the Axiom Pro keyboard,” said Tex Schenkkan, Avid Vice President and General Manager, Audio. The controller series was developed in response to user requests for a comprehensively equipped professional version of the Axiom keyboards.
