The Panasonic AG-HMC41E records AVCHD to standard SDHC cards, weighs slightly more than one kilogram, and has three 1/4-inch 3MOS sensors with 3-megapixel resolution. The lens provides 12x zoom; information about its shortest focal length was not yet available.
Data rates reach 24 Mbit/s for 1080/50i, 1080/25p, 720/50p, and 720/25p formats. The camera can be operated through a touchscreen or function buttons integrated into the body. XLR connections are provided for audio.
Alongside the touchscreen, numerous external buttons are available, supported by three custom buttons. Professional functions include Dynamic Range Stretch, a Cinegamma mode, a waveform monitor, and timecode recording.
