“Ableton Live Fundamentals” provides a structured, complete introduction to digital music production with Ableton Live 8: producing, editing, creating loops, arranging songs, and learning and applying Live’s performance features.
The “Ableton Live Advanced Producing” and “Remixing/Beat Programming on Ableton Live” courses and workshops are aimed at advanced musicians and producers. YMI provides detailed knowledge of professional applications for Ableton Live.
The “DJing with Ableton Live” workshop is designed for DJs and covers the software’s capabilities and particular strengths as a live-performance tool for digital DJing.
With no more than eight participants per course, the programme was intended to balance theory and practical work while allowing instructors to provide individual support. This gave participants’ musical identity and personal style room to develop. The course and workshop programme was to be expanded continuously in close cooperation with Ableton.
“Ableton Live has revolutionized the creative process by which musicians, DJs and producers can realize their musical ideas digitally through its unique approach and concept. YMI’s offering would therefore be incomplete without Ableton Live courses,” said YMI founder and managing director Philipp M. Krebs.
Gerhard Behles, CEO of Ableton AG, said: “We are very pleased that YMI is now the first training center available in Germany to meet our high standard for Ableton Live training.”
