The PT-D6000 series primarily targeted audiovisual rental companies and opened new opportunities for Panasonic partners in Europe. Initial rental customers included Lang AG and Sigma in Germany, Crambo in Spain and Utram in France. They could position the single-chip DLP products against more expensive three-chip models with little loss of image quality.
The range comprised the PT-DZ6710E, PT-DZ6700E, PT-DW6300E and PT-D6000E. The PT-DZ6710 offered the highest image quality with 1,920 × 1,200 resolution, supporting Full HD and WUXGA.
Panasonic Europe projector marketing manager Hartmut Kulessa said the series demonstrated the company’s professional expertise and commitment to long-term rental partners. Designed for permanent installations, the PT-DZ6710 included geometric image adjustment for projection onto curved surfaces.
All models used a dual-lamp system and self-cleaning filter to extend service life. Robust DLP technology supported continuous 24/7 operation, while an integrated RGB Booster improved image quality.
Environmentally Friendly
The projectors were the first in their class with standby consumption below 0.5 watts. Panasonic said its manufacturing complied with the EU RoHS directive, excluding harmful substances such as lead, cadmium and mercury. Packaging avoided polyethylene.
