For more than fifteen years, Audio Factory’s Hollywood Soundeffects division had distributed Europe’s largest selection of original Hollywood sound effects and music tools for professional productions of every kind. From June 1, around 60,000 individual sounds could be downloaded at http://www.hollywood-sfx.de in addition to the CD and DVD catalogue. The professional sounds were produced at major sound-postproduction studios in Hollywood, Santa Monica and Burbank that had received 26 Oscars and numerous other awards.

Hollywood-SFX enabled film-production departments, computer-animation studios, music and video productions, broadcasters, television channels and theatres to search easily for suitable sounds. Users could quickly acquire a wide variety of effects and music across common genres, both royalty-free and subject to GEMA licensing. Every individual sound was searchable and included descriptions in German and English. The continuously expanding catalogue ranged from horror, combat, traffic, sport, historical, cartoon and fantasy sounds to original recordings of people and animals, for use in advertising, film, video, dubbing, stage productions and computer animation.

Hamburg-based Audio Factory had offered professional sound effects through Hollywood-SFX since 1991, making it the first German company to do so. Its sounds came from major sound-postproduction studios in Hollywood, Santa Monica and Burbank that had received 26 Academy Awards and numerous other prizes for sound and sound editing.
